Worship Now

We’re over halfway through 40 Days of Prayer for 2024. I’d encourage you to spend some time reflecting on what the Lord has been saying to you and what He’s been doing in your life. What a privilege to speak to and hear from the God who is the Creator of all things. 

As The Alliance is engaged in the now. strategy, our prayer theme is now. pray. The word now can communicate our current reality—what we are now. It can also express urgency—what we need to do now. In this fourth week, we will see that now is the time to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth. Hence, we call this week’s theme Worship now. The theme is derived from John 4:23:

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.”

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Yes, the Lord created us to worship Him and to be in relationship with Him. In this busy world, we all face so many distractions that really rob the time we can set aside to worship the Lord. Scripture tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength. So, we need to discover how we can delight in the Lord and experience His divine joy through worship.
