Exodus 5:17 But he (Pharaoh) said, "You are idle, you are idle; that is why you say, 'Let us go and sacrifice to the LORD.'
To follow Jesus and be delivered from sin's power will not make sense to the rest of the world. When God's people wake up in the morning and desire to worship and spend time before the Lord in prayer and His word, the world says, "You don't have the time to do those meaningless things." A secular world is a sinful world where the taskmasters do not regard worship as anything but idleness.
The Church must be careful on Monday through Saturday not to take on such a mentality. Does the Lord have the firstfruits of our day, where we meet with Him for worship allowing Him to speak into our lives through His word?
When we struggle with thoughts such as, "I don't have time for God's word." or "I don't have time to sing praises to Him in the morning." Then we are listening to the taskmaster over our life instead of the Lord who brings breakthrough and deliverance.
