Acts 7:51 "You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, so do you. 52 Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who announced beforehand the coming of the Righteous One, whom you have now betrayed and murdered, 53 you who received the law as delivered by angels and did not keep it." 54 Now when they heard these things they were enraged, and they ground their teeth at him. (Acts 7:51 ESV)
When we are faithful and proclaim the whole Gospel, we love it when those who come under conviction give their life to Jesus Christ. However, are we also ready for the kick-back when those who come under conviction, reject the Spirit of God and come after us for what they deem an offensive message?
Does the fear of rejection keep us from fully walking in the power and leading of the Holy Spirit to proclaim the whole Gospel of Jesus? If so, let us pray today for boldness. To have tough skin but a sensitive heart to the Spirit's leading and even to those rejecting us for His name sake.
