As we have just begun 2022 there will be many issues pertaining to life that we will have to tackle and make decisions in this year.
There will be decisions that we will need to make pertaining to our finances.
There will be decisions that we will need to make pertaining to friendships.
There will be decisions to make with regard to relationships, marriage and unfortunately divorce.
There will be decisions to be made with regard to the raising of our children.
There will be decisions that are life altering that will need to be made. When these issues of life come are we to rely on our feelings, our wants and our desires or will we turn to the One who can lead us rightly?
How do we prepare ourselves for such moments?
To be in the right and not the wrong, Jesus rebukes the religious leaders of his day by saying, "Is this not the reason you are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God?"(Mark 12:24) The issue was about marriage and resurrection that Jesus was addressing.
For you and me can we say we are getting to know the Scriptures and the power of God that is at work when we trust in Christ and walk in obedience to His word? If we step into this New Year set on knowing the Scriptures and walking in obedience to His word, then 2022 will be a year of overcoming and of witnessing the power of God in our lives.
