Pastor Lonnie and his wife, Candice, along with their two children moved to Midland, Texas in the summer of 2016 to serve at Fellowship Community Church.
He has been pastoring, counseling, and teaching God’s word for over twenty years in both Asia and the United States. Lonnie especially enjoys mentoring and counselling individuals and married couples with his wife, who has her Master’s Degree in Christian Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary. He is the author of the book, Journey Toward Christ Centered Emotions. Lonnie’s passion is to see those within the body of Christ find healing at the feet of Jesus and to fulfill their calling as disciples who are called to go and make disciples.
Lonnie was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle. He gave his life to Jesus Christ in the spring of 1989 as a student at Texas Tech University where he eventually received a Bachelor’s degree in 1992. Lonnie received his Master’s in Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary, in Wilmore Ky.
Moving to Midland, Texas, has been a coming home for Lonnie. “As a family, we love the community of Midland and our church home at FCC.” Lonnie has especially enjoyed getting reacquainted with West Texas thunderstorms, Taco Villa, and watching either the Dallas Cowboys or New England Patriots.

Andrea Hernandez is a 30-something, married, mother of 4. Serving as the office/church administrator, she began working at Fellowship Community both young in age and in her Christian faith. The major draw in her coming to work in the church office almost 13 years ago was the ability to bring her then infant son to the office with her. The freedom to be present and active in her children’s and husband’s lives while serving God’s people and earning a living has kept her here all these years later with the last of the Hernandez children to be raised in the church office.
Andrea was born in Big Spring, TX, but moved often in her childhood. She lived in Elkhart and Ft Wayne, IN , Mesa, AZ, Salisbury NC, Austin, TX, and finally settled down here in Midland. Andrea prayed to receive Christ after several years of bad choices and wayward living in 2002 while facing an insurmountable trial. Andrea and her then boyfriend, Richard, were faced with a very difficult pregnancy, a pit bull attack, and the eventual loss of their child. During these extreme trials, Andrea’s mother and the people of this church, most of whom she had never met, prayed for her and Richards’s salvation. It is an almost unbelievable but true testimony that Andrea is glad to share with anyone who asks.
Andrea enjoys relaxing by the water, reading, and watching movies, none of which she does much of right now. She does enjoy watching her son and his team play football. She actually enjoys most football as long as it is not the Dallas Cowboys or New England Patriots. Go pack Go!
